Rideing throughout the city I some times drive next to a CAR or SUV that has the windows blacked out and the music turned up. In case you have never heard of it...it is a gathering of the black Radio One listeners for two days. There are vendors and the food is great. If you recall when Radio One was first started they owned only 1 radio station... that soon changed to 9. One of the premier talk show host was a brother named "C. MILES". TOPIC: ACTOR DON CHEADLE NEW MOVIE CALLED "TALK TO ME".. Well this new movie that will soon be out is called "TALK TO ME". It is the story of an X-CON who has the gift of "GAB" and is hired by a local Washington, DC radio station. Well ..first of all the story is TRUE. Yep the real brother who was hired name was PETEY GREEN. "Petey" as his friends called him was a native born kid who was born in hard time in the District of Columbia. He was caught up and commited some crimes and was sent to prison. The movie story and the real story are basically the same. Petey was a local on air personality while in prison...and the owner of radio station WOL 1450 heard him and hired him. Simple as that..I'm sure nobody knows of Petey but a few people but you will love the movie...called "TALK TO ME". Check it out...log on here. |
